Laminated

Laminated glass is produced by bonding two or more glass sheets under heat and pressure using colored or clear polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers. In the event of breakage, it holds the fragments in place, reducing the risk of injury. Due to this feature, laminated glass is considered safety glass. Laminated glass is also a suitable choice for preventing or delaying unwanted passage from one side to the other. Lamination is a standard and typical solution for the inner glass of sloped or overhead glazing applications. Laminated glass can be combined with insulating glass units (ISICAM®), clear, body-tinted, coated, and heat-treated glass. With its low UV transmittance, laminated glass helps preserve the natural colors of furnishings for a longer period and provides benefits in noise control. Standard laminated glass is produced using 0.38 mm thick clear PVB. It can also be produced with PVB thicknesses of 0.76, 1.14, or 1.52 mm. When the glass used in lamination is tempered, 1.52 mm thick PVB is applied.



Acoustic Glass
Noise control glass is produced by using “Acoustic PVB” with thicknesses of 0.76 mm or 1.14 mm in the lamination process. With noise control glass, it is possible to create a 3–4 times difference between “external” and “internal” noise levels. Combinations providing up to 50 decibels of sound insulation can be achieved.



Bullet-Resistant Glass
Bullet-resistant and bulletproof units are used in areas where attacks against life and property security are possible. Bullet-resistant and bulletproof glass consists of laminated assemblies with PVB or polycarbonate interlayers. When required, the glass sheets can also be used in tempered form.



Fire-Resistant Glass
These colorless and transparent glasses prevent the passage of fire flames and smoke from one side to the other for durations of 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes. They maintain transparency throughout the fire exposure period. They are suitable for both interior and exterior use and are not affected by UV radiation.
